It was another beautiful day, and then came the rain!!! Oh well, at least it is helping with the pollen!!! T has a friend over tonight for a sleep over, so we are going out for dinner. I finally got the garage cleaned out yesterday, with a little help from a hired worker! It looks great, and Bear is loving it, although, it won't be long before D starts complaining about the dog being in his area!!! I did not find my camera! I guess I hid it from myself, oh well, I guess I will find it oneday, unless I threw it out! That will be my luck!!
The Presidental election is getting interesting!! It looks like the Republicans will prevail again!!! I can only hope so!! Let's just hope that McCain picks someone good as a running mate so we can hang onto the election!! The democrats are digging themselves deeper with all the scandals, which can only help in the election!! McCain is a little liberal for my tastes, but I will vote for him to get the other two out of there!!
Oh well, until tomorrow!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Thursday...
This week has gone by really fast. I broke my thumb on Saturday night, so I am not doing too well typing this week..Bear decided to drag me through the house and when I put my hand up to grab the wall to stop, my thumb hit the wall and it was bent back and then..pop, it was broken at the knuckle..ouch!! It really wasn't Bear's fault, and he appeared very concerned that I was hurt. He is so big, so I am often not prepared when he decides to take off, so I have to learn to be more careful!!! He hasn't stopped running yet...his favorite hikes are usually after a squirrel or another dog enters the yard!!
Other than that bad news, it has been beautiful weather this week. Our Easter dinner turned out really well, and t enjoyed the day. For the majority of the week, I have been doing a bit of Spring cleaning. I even tackled the garage today. It is going to take more time to get it done now, but it is beginning to shape up!!

Strange Noises
A few weeks ago I heard a few bumps during the night and I got up to check the windows and doors. I gathered my baseball bat and walked all three levels of the house and found nothing! I went back to bed and locked the bedroom door. The next morning after I took T to school, I heard noises again, this time in the garage. I got the bat again and took Bear with me, and took a look, nothing. I started to believe that the house I bought was haunted, so I got busy with my daily chores, somewhat uneasy and unsure of where the noises were coming from in the house! I was alone in the house! Later that day, I entered the garage to get something out of the freezer and saw thru the utility room door a strange sight, the bird cages had been moved and the dog food dish was empty. This was strange because Bear had been outside most of the day. I called my husband and asked him if he had been into the room and moved the cages, he said he did not. Now the creepy feeling came over me again. I went back into the house and locked all the doors. Later that afternoon, I went back into the garage to get a box and saw two eyes behind a box. I began to move the empty boxes around and a black cat appeared!! I opened the garage door and the cat ran out!! When I picked T up from school that day, I asked her if she knew anything about the cat. She said she had seen it around, but did not acknowledge letting the cat in the garage. I later discovered a bowl of water in the garage and dog food...the cat had obviously been in the garage for a few days, if not a week. I guess the cat made himself a bowl of water and food..it is amazing that he was able to reach my best bowls in the cabinet and make his way thru the wooden door into the garage..wow, that must be one talented cat!!! Today when I went outside, the cat was under the deck in back of our house...would you believe that he has managed to get himself another bowl of water and food?????? I am still trying to solve the mystery of how the cat gets into my house to get my best bowls to feed himself....I smell deception!!!!! I have a feeling someone in my house wants a cat..who could it be??? Maybe an 11 year old who thinks her parent's are blind?????

My Dad
Today would have been my dad's birthday, so today's entry is in loving memory of my dad. He was born on March 19, 1939 ,and passed away on September 9, 2002. I will always hold every memory of my dad close to my heart. I am so thankful that God gave me such a wonderful dad. I miss him so much everyday! He was also a wonderful and loving grandfather to my daughter. She was only six when he passed away, but she has so many memories of her times with my dad. I am so thankful that she had an opportunity to have him in her life. Rest in peace dad!! You are loved so much and will always be with us...if not on this earth, in eternity.
Tuesday's News!
My Aunt Linda came to visit yesterday and went back to her home today. We had a nice visit and a nice St. Patrick's Day! I actually made dinner last night and most of it came out okay (the corned beef was a little dry, but my husband put it on the grill with lots of brown sugar, so it wasn't as bad as we thought!!) I made some really good beer bread and gave it to my aunt to take home with her. She always made me homemade bread when I lived out of state, so although my bread was not as good, it was not bad!! Also, my Aunt Lib sent some gardenias over for my flower garden!! Thanks Aunt Lib!!! I am so excited about planting flowers this weekend. My husband will be busy digging holes for me all weekend, that is if I can decide where I want to put everything!! It turned out to be a beautiful day, but the rain is coming tomorrow again!! I feel sorry for all the people in Atlanta that have to deal with last weekends clean up, and now more rain will prevent them from getting their lives back on track for a few more days!!
T's almost done with her tests. She says the test are easy, so we will see at the end of the school year when the final grades come in!! I am praying that she will do well! She usually does, so I am making sure she gets enough sleep, etc.. I can hardly believe that the school year is almost over..it seems as if it just started!!!! Life moves so quickly!! I guess it is more noticeable when you have a child...time slips away, and before you can catch your breath, they are in college!!! I am so thankful that I have been able to enjoy being at home for the majority of her school years. It has made the other things in life so trivial!!
